NAWA Medical Hydrogel is intended to manage dermal lesions such as lacerations, post-operative (surgical) wounds, partial and full-thickness wounds, 1st and 2nd degree burns and ulcers (diabetic, venous stasis, pressure). NAWA Medical Hydrogel can be used in conjunction with conventional dressings and/or dressings that absorb fluid (i.e. gauze, gel, alginate, foam and hydrocolloid).
For Acute Wounds: Apply NAWA Medical Hydrogel directly into the wound cavity or incision. With wounds such as incisions or puncture wounds, it is recommended that the wound first be cleaned with NAWA Medical Skin & Wound Cleanser and that the cavity or incision then be filled with NAWA Medical Hydrogel. NAWA Medical Wound Cream should be applied to the wound margins to provide nutrients promoting healing. The wound should then be covered with a dressing.
For Chronic Wounds: When treating chronic wounds, such as pressure ulcers, the wounds and surrounding tissues should be cleansed with NAWAlution Skin & Wound Cleanser and the wound bed should be completely filled with NAWA Medical Hydrogel. NAWA Medical Wound Cream should then be applied to the wound margins an the surrounding skin to provide additional nutrients to these tissues and to prevent wound expansion. The wound should then be covered with a dressing. This treatment process should be repeated every other day or as directed.
